How do I perform a Patch Test to make sure the product is a good fit for me?

Apply a small amount of the products on a small area of your wrist, arm, face or neck 24-48 hours before applying to your entire face and neck. If any irritation or signs of allergy occur, please contact us at Support@TruSkin.com  with your Amazon Order ID number for a full refund. Your order ID number can be found in the Orders section of your Amazon.com account.

Do I need to use all of your products together?

We recommend adding new products to your routine slowly by adding in one new product every few days rather than all at once. This allows your skin to adjust to the new ingredients and helps you get a better sense of how each product is working for your skin. Many customers use several products on a regular basis and others find their desired benefits in just one or two products. We are always here to work with you to find the best products for your skin!

How best do I apply TruSkin serums together?

If you are using the Vitamin C, HA, and Retinol serums together, we recommend applying the Vitamin C Serum first, followed by the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. This combination can be applied 1-2 times daily. If also using the 2.5% Retinol Serum, apply it last (on top of the C and HA) 2-3 nights a week. For more conservative use, try using the Vitamin C Serum in the morning, Hyaluronic Acid Serum in the evening, and Retinol Serum 2-3 nights a week. If also using the Tea Tree Clear Skin Serum or the C Plus Super Serum, alternate it with the Retinol Serum. We do not recommend using the Tea Tree Clear Skin and C Plus Super Serums at the same time.

What color and consistency should the products be?

You won’t find any unnecessary color or fragrance additives in our formulations. Vitamin C Serum is a lightweight & smooth formula with fresh ingredients that naturally range from somewhat cloudy to fairly opaque or milky.

Hyaluronic Acid Serum & Retinol Serum are both ultra-light, transparent formulations that layer beautifully under moisturizer. Tea Tree Clear Skin Serum is a sheer, opaque formula and C Plus Super Serum is a creamy serum with a pale yellow citrus tint from the pink grapefruit. Vitamin C Daily Facial Cleanser is a clear, lightly foaming gel and Charcoal Cleanser is rich foaming cleanser with a deep charcoal color. Both Daily Facial Super Toner and Rose Water Toner are pale liquids. Eye Gel is a creamy gel with a slight opaque color and Eye Cream is a silky, white lotion.

Finally, Retinol Moisturizer and Daily Facial Vitamin C Moisturizer are both smooth, pale lotions.

What should the products smell like?

The only noticeable scents in our products are presented by the fresh ingredients themselves - we don’t use synthetic fragrance additives or stabilizers. True witch hazel, and geranium extract produce the faint, medicinal scent of our Vitamin C Serum. Tea Tree Clear Skin Serum highlights the clean, botanical fragrances of tea tree, lavender and ylang-ylang essential oils. C Plus Super Serum has a touch of clarifying pink grapefruit essential oil for a subtle & bright note. Rose Water simply smells like fresh, real roses - not synthetic rose perfume. How do I use TruSkin products with other non-prescription products?

After cleansing skin and applying toner, use the serums as the first step before you apply other skincare products, eye products, moisturizers and beauty oils.

How do I use TruSkin products with prescription products?

We are hearing the best results from customers that are applying our serums underneath their prescription products (such as Retin-A) and moisturizers and eye products on top of prescription products. However, we recommend that you consult with your doctor or pharmacist before adding in any new skin care products.

Can these products cause my skin to break out?

It’s uncommon for customers to report breakouts when used as directed, but slight breakouts can happen with any change in skin care and often clear up with continued use. If your skin breaks out, we recommend reducing the frequency of application to better allow skin to adapt to the newly introduced product. Those with a history of skin sensitivity should also consider adding only one new product at a time.

How do I use TruSkin serums with TruSkin 2.5% Retinol Moisturizer?

Start off by applying the Retinol Moisturizer 2-3 times a week. After cleansing, toning and application of serums, smooth a small amount of Retinol Moisturizer on face, neck, and décolleté. Can be used day or night and worn under makeup. As with any retinol product we recommend applying a sunscreen during the day as retinol can make skin more sensitive to the sun. Applying more than one retinol product at a time, or applying retinol daily, can cause dryness. If your skin starts to feel, decrease usage and alternate with a moisturizer that does not contain retinol.
